Then layer in rose petals, peppery calendula (also known as marigold) and cornflowers. Suddenly you’ve got something really interesting: A complex brew with floral hops and some earthy, clove-like spice. The French prefer a flowery Earl Grey, and you can add all sorts of things to this basic mix: Lavender petals, dandelion leaves, dried apple pieces or black peppercorns.
